I love journaling, vintage things & everything handmade.
For as long as I can remember, I have always been accompanied by a good pen and a notebook.
I used my notebooks to scribble down fragments of short stories and poems floating around in my head. But lately, especially after the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and the birth of my daughter, keeping a journal has become something much more important.It helped me slow down and take time for myself when the world outside did not seem like a safe place. It also showed me the good things in life (no matter how small) and helped me become more mindful.
Jonna Studio was born in 2019 when I discovered Hobonichi planners and notebooks. After Hobonichi, I fell in love with Midori and Traveler's Company and soon started using fountain pens instead of gel rollers.
My world had changed and I began to research various Japanese, Taiwanese and other Asian indie stationery brands, often looking for pre-loved options abroad, since no shop in Estonia stocked these. In 2023 I founded OÜ Aeglane and Jonna Studio became reality.
In Jonna Studio, I wish to share my love for premium stationery. Each brand is carefully selected and the collection is hand-curated by myself. I prefer stocking indie- and small brands from Asia and Europe, giving special attention to family-run small businesses like Jonna Studio.
In the future, I hope to open a brick-and-mortar studio shop one day. My dream is to stock Hobonichi and Traveler’s Company.
